Travel and Local Transportation

Air and Train Travel

The city of Rennes is served by the airport of Saint-Jacques de la Lande (RNS). This small airport has daily flights from Paris and Lyon (France). A shuttle bus can take you to the city center of Rennes (20 min; 1.50 euros).

The city of Rennes is also served by a train station that is located in the city center. Trains arrive daily from Paris.

Local Transportation

The Rennes area is served by the STAR bus and metro lines. Cab services are also available. The conference center is about a 10-minute bus ride from the city center where many hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues are available.

Accommodation

The Beaulieu university residence, located 15 minutes walk from the conference building and 5 minutes' walk from the bus, offers single "comfort" rooms (12 m²), with a single bed, a private bathroom (shower, sink) and a small refrigerator. Sheets and towels are also provided.
The breakfast will be provided, but at the University conference building (where the confrences will be done), 15 minutes walk.

In addition to the university residences, we suggest that you stay in one of the hotels in the city center recommended by Tourisme-Rennes for this type of event.

Venue and Access

The symposium will begin on Sunday July 10 at Institute Agro Rennes-Angers with the registration (5:00 p.m.), followed by the welcome ceremony (6:30-22:00 p.m.). 
The conferences will take place on the Beaulieu Campus of University of Rennes. 
They will start on Monday, July 11 (9:00 a.m) and end on Friday, July 15 (4:00 p.m). Gala diner will take place at Couvent des Jacobins, in the Center of Rennes, on Wednesday July 13. Excursion will take place on Thursday July 14.  
Details, about welcome ceremony, conferences, gala diner and excursions are provided below, as well as details about accommodation for those who have booked a room at University residence.

Remember, congress registration fees include a transport pass to travel in Rennes during the Symposium (that will be given to you during registration on Sunday or Monday).

Oral and Poster instruction

ORAL

Oral presentation should be 12 minutes followed by 5 minutes of questions.
Key note presentation should be 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes of questions. We advice you to provide PPT and PDF formats.

POSTER

Posters should be prepared as single poster. It must be printed and displayed portrait. Size must be A0 (width: 841 mm, height: 1189 mm).
In order to increase the visibility of your work, we propose to make your work accessible to the people who will participate in the symposium (in person or online). Thus, we propose to put your poster on the website and to include it in the e.book.
We also suggest that you send us a PICO (ideally 3min poster video) that we will also put on the website.
Instructions: if you are interested, please send us the poster in PDF format no later than Monday, July 4 (ideally accompanied by the film in mp4 format).

Online format

In order to balance some CoVid situations and Visa rejection problems (we are sorry by these issues), an hybrid formula is now offered (online + face-to-face). You will find all the informations about Online on the "registration" items. This online format will be open until 5 july.
